Access to Sendai
Sendai is situated approximately 350 km north-east of Tokyo. The easiest way to reach Sendai from abroad would be to take a flight to Narita or Haneda international airports, and then train to Sendai via Tokyo or Ueno. Alternatively, international flights from Guam, Seoul, Shanghai, Beijing, Taipei, and Honolulu to Sendai International Airport (SDJ) are available.
